**Job Summary**:
**_Golden Madera Care Center _**_in _**_Madera, California _**is seeking a **Staffing and Central Supply Coordinator** that is primarily responsible for scheduling nursing staff and other elements of staff support for clinical staff members; responsible for coordinating the functions of the central supply room by maintaining supply and equipment inventory on all units while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards.

**Essential Functions**:
**Staffing**:

- Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks in advance.
- Ensures timely Certified Nurse Aide (CNAs) assignment to meet needs of new admissions as well as existing residents.
- Maintains schedule on a daily basis of any staffing changes or resident status changes and communicates accordingly
- Facilitates the timely completion of paper work and data entry pertinent and necessary to fulfill job duties.
- Maintains tracking system for CNA annual license renewal and OBRA compliance.
- Notifies the Director of Nursing (DON) of short staffing situations; contacts replacement personnel and modifies schedule when required.
- Keeps a pool of replacements and coordinates vacations and time-off requests.
- Coordinates time-off requests with the Director of Nursing
- Maintains records of employees who miss shifts; produces reports.
- Coordinates with Director of Nursing to secure contract labor when necessary.
- Communicates with residents and their families/caregivers, and with healthcare professionals and outside vendors.
- Communicates staff assignments to managers and staff.

**Central Supply**:

- Maintains the medical supply and equipment inventory in Central Supply room and in the Nursing Department.
- Maintains an appropriate level of stock supplies to meet staff and resident needs.
- Coordinates the ordering, inventorying, delivering, rotation and cost comparisons of medical supplies, and maintains records related to the functions.
- Maintains Central Supply section of material safety data sheets (MSDS) books.
- Ensures cleanliness and/or sterility of supplies, equipment, and Central Supply Room areas.
- Maintains infection control standards.
- Maintains computer database of patient information and uses database to accurately maintain patient charge tracking system.
- Prepares monthly reports for administration detailing inventory distribution, supply use and other functions of central supply.

**Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CNA Certification or Licensed Nurse in State employed.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- _Preferred_: A minimum of three months' prior Nursing Assistant experience in long-term care.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
