Retirement Analyst I

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate with third party administrators, legal and internal parties to ensure the retirement plans are administered in accordance with plan documents and requirements.
- Be responsible for the support of retirement plans related compliance testing and audits (IRS, Department of Labor and other internal and regulatory requirements).
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated participant issues requiring specific and accurate retirement plan expertise, and ensure issues are resolved timely.
- Maintain knowledge of plan processes and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, routinely review plans to ensure compliance, and coordinate any needed communications and notices.
- Assist in the analysis, data collection, and document review for major retirement plan events.
- Complete necessary reconciliations as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for technology and systems operations and issues that impact retirement plan administration.
- Analyzes and manages data integrations, takes required actions.
- Assist with other projects as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related area.
- CEBS or ASPPA designations preferred or willingness to obtain.
- 1+ years of experience working in the design and administration of multiple retirement and well-being programs.
- Strong project management, process development and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of 401(k), pension and the deferred compensation plan administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to perform detailed analysis of problems and identify resolutions; understands when and how to escalate issues to manage risk.
- Ability to handle confidential information, work independently within broad guidelines and policies, exercise solid judgement and build business cases to support recommendations.
- Results-oriented; successfully handles multiple tasks, takes initiative to improve his/her own performance, works intensely towards challenging goals and persists in the face of obstacles or setbacks while maintaining quality of work.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to retirement plans (such as ERISA, Fiduciary responsibilities).
- Strong written and oral communication, and presentation skills and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Able to thrive in both in office and/or virtual work environment where teams may be spread amongst multiple locations.
- Strong interest in and knowledge of retirement, benefits, and financial well-being leading practices.
- Advanced computer literacy: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package, especially Excel.
