The Town of Auburn, NH is seeking a Highway and Grounds Laborer/Driver. Will perform maintenance of roads, bridges, and drainage systems, plus plow snow and perform other storm response and general labor duties. A CDL is not required.

The Town of Auburn has historically relied upon an elected Road Agent and local contractors to perform all highway work and is starting to bring some work “in-house” with the hiring of 1-2 employees.
- Snow removal operations;
- Operating trucks and light equipment;
- Skilled with small hand and power tools;
- Knowledge of workplace hazards and safety procedures

Storm and emergency response requires proximity to Auburn and on-call availability. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position, overtime will be required, particularly during winter. Compensation includes a competitive municipal benefits package including a quality health and dental insurance program, vacation, and participation in the NH Retirement System. Starting wage $20.69-$25.22/hr.

Pay: $20.69 - $25.22 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
