We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team at EMDI Health. This role will primarily involve front desk receptionist duties as well as assisting with back-office tasks to support our healthcare providers and ensure smooth clinic operations.
**Responsibilities**:
**Front Desk Receptionist**:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment reminders.
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect co-payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Handle patient inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and faxing documents.
**Back Office Medical Assistant**:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, rooming patients, and preparing exam rooms.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, and recording patient medical history.
- Prepare and administer injections, including weight loss injections and other medications, as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with minor procedures and treatments under the supervision of licensed medical staff.
- Maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring proper inventory levels and cleanliness.
- Document patient information accurately and securely in electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
