The Muskegon Community YMCA Programming Coordinator is charged with the development of our YMCA’s communities through various programs.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
The Program Coordinator must understand the purpose and concepts of the YMCA and must be able to relate this purpose and mission to staff, volunteers, members, and guests through the daily operations that occur within or outside of the membership/community
- building operations.

The applicant must bring to this position appropriate education and experience, which includes a high school diploma and 3 to 5 years of work-related experience. The incumbent must possess a mix of relationship-building skills with technical knowledge to assist in the operations for the association. Strong writing and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and conceptual planning skills are required.

The position is for a self-directed, innovative and creative person. The Program Coordinator must have the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community while articulating the YMCA’s purpose and mission and demonstrating the YMCA’s character values. They must have the ability to relate to and maintain harmonious relationships with professional peers, lay leaders, YMCA members, and the general public.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Managing data derived from Evidence-Based Health Intervention (EBHI) programs;
including data entry into Well’d Health, RedCAP and/or other related platforms for reporting purposes.
- Assist in community outreach to increase awareness of and enrollment into EBHI programs.
- Assist Director in daily operations of EBHI programs; includes communication with participants, healthcare providers and other community stakeholders.
- Coach/Facilitate a minimum of four (4) cohorts annually
- Maintain necessary certifications for EBHI programs.
- Adhere to the YMCA’s HIPAA policies and procedures and ensure participants’ protected health information is secure.
- Participate in quality assurance opportunities to support fidelity to the curriculum and to meet performance standards.
- Arrive on time and dressed appropriately.
- Connect with Healthy Living Director on a regular basis to update on program status and progress and as per any additional expectations outlined.
- Other duties as assigned.

This position reports to the YMCA’s Healthy Living Director. Employment is contingent upon achieving HIPAA certification and other certifications and requirements as solely determined by the YMCA.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
1. A commitment to and support of the Y mission and more specifically, the vision and goals of the Y’s focus on health seekers.

2. Must have outstanding communication skills; exceptional organizational skills; and the ability to build strong relationships, inspire confidence, and work effectively with a wide variety of individuals

4. Ability to complete some training courses online

5. Ability to learn new computer systems for participant data tracking

6. Experience facilitating small groups a plus

7. Background in teaching or health field desirable

8. At least 18 years of age

9. Certifications: YMCA program prerequisites are provided

10. High School Diploma

11. 3-5 years of work-related experience

**WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
1. Ability to walk, stand, and sit for periods of time.

2. Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.

3. Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency

4. Ability to view/enter data.

Pay: $37,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
