Co-2's Teacher/assistant Director

Creative Scholars Preschool is a play-based program where children develop social, emotional, and problem-solving skills that stay with them for life. Our center started 15 years ago and has grown throughout the years.

We are looking for a responsible, reliable, open-minded, and flexible Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will help and assist the Director with tasks and operations in the center. They will also help in the mornings co-teaching in our two-year old classroom as needed. The Assistant Director must have the passion to work with children, patience to train teachers, and a positive outlook on any situations that may occur.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain compliance with state and city licensing.
- Maintain child and staff files to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Maintain a child-centered, inviting, and attractive school.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for children in compliance with Health Department regulations.
- Lead tours to prospective parents, ensuring the school is always tour-ready and consistently following up to maximize enrollment capacity.
- Meet with and welcome all new families. Maintain professional and supportive relationships with families.
- Identify and communicate with the Director the school’s need for equipment and materials. Ensure that classroom and playground equipment are well maintained and inspected.
- Respond to staff concerns/problems and counsel to help find solutions. Facilitate conflict resolution among staff members.
- Cover the classrooms as needed.
- Implement and Adhere to all Creative Scholars Preschool Handbook and policies

**Qualifications**:

- A bachelor's degree in ECE (Early Childhood Education) or
- 60 semester college credits with a minimum of **18 semester college credit hours in ECE**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in management in a preschool setting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a classroom preschool setting

**Job Types**: Full-time

Hours: 9-6 pm

**Salary**: $50,000

**Benefits**:

- Pay off time, paid vacation after 90 days.
