**Associate, Communications**:
The Associate, Communications reports to the Director, Strategic Communications. This position is located in Chicago, Illinois and is currently hybrid.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organizes and conducts video interviews with community members about environmental justice.
- Hosts video projects and presentations.
- Writes scripts for video content and in-person presentations.
- Directs the filming of educational videos and edits them on Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva.
- Leads the content creation process for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Investigates hashtag trends and SMO strategies to drive traffic from a larger audience.
- Designs and manages digital content through Canva and Hootsuite.
- Reaches out to media outlets, newspapers, and websites to increase backlinks and spread awareness about home energy efficiency.
- Utilized storyboarding for social media campaigns and bigger projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or similar field preferred
- At least two (2+) years of experience in development, journalism, advocacy communications, or marketing required
- Stellar writing and editing skills
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Proficiency in Google Analytics; Google Tag Manager or Google Search Console a plus
- Knowledge of Wordpress or other web CMS systems
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud or other systems preferred
- Affinity for fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong public speaking skills
- Solutions-oriented and innovative thinker with strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to simplify and summarize abstract ideas
- Able to handle deadline pressure and a fluid environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

**Compensation**:
The total compensation for this position includes health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.), defined contribution benefit (401k with contribution), professional development, generous paid time off policies, and a flexible schedule. This is an exempt individual contributor position with a salary range of $55,000 - $60,000, based on experience.
