**Job Summary**:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with state and federal financial regulations specific to the cannabis industry. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in bookkeeping and a solid understanding of the unique financial and regulatory requirements of the cannabis business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Reconcile sales and cash receipts daily.
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**:

- Process invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- **Payroll Processing**:

- Prepare and process payroll for employees.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- **Financial Reporting**:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Generate and review financial reports to monitor the company’s financial status.
- **Compliance and Auditing**:

- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to the cannabis industry.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
- Maintain knowledge of changes in financial regulations and laws.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Reconcile inventory records with financial records.
- Monitor inventory levels and costs.
- **General Administrative Tasks**:

- Assist with various administrative tasks as needed.
- Support the finance team with other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
- Familiarity with BioTrak or other cannabis-specific tracking software is a plus.
- **Skills**:

- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Certifications**:

- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar certification is a plus.
**Working Conditions**:

- Office environment with occasional travel to retail and wholesale locations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
