**Duties**:

- Serves as a Senior Information Technology (IT) Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A and A) Specialist and a Cybersecurity (CS) Intelligence Community (IC) Security Engineering Advisor (SEA).
- This position participates in National, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of the Army (DA)senior level CS assessment and authorization activities for strategic planning initiatives and infrastructure protection assessments.
- Responsible for the RMF Assessment and Authorization Program to include all actions pertaining to and concerning Authorizing Official (AO)support and Cybersecurity (CS), in accordance with DoD, DIA and Army Regulations.
- Determines the authorization and security impact of all IT related projects; exercises personal judgment and discretion to evaluate informational paperwork received and its potential effect upon security and recommends appropriate action.
- Assists with integrating Assessment and Authorization (A and A) regulations from various environments into conglomerations for joined systems.
- Recommends changes to system designs and configurations, lead conducting tests of CS safeguards in accordance with test plans based on requirements.
- Performs comprehensive authorization and risk assessment tests and system specific certification test plans.

- Two-year trial period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- TDY Travel may be required 25% or more of the time.
- Requires Information Assurance Technical (IAM) Level III certification.

- In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
- Basic Requirement for IT Specialist (INFOSEC):

- Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes **providing interpretation of cybersecurity policy to an organization; AND administering a cybersecurity risk management program in accordance with established regulations and policies; AND analyzing vulnerabilities to determine possible risks to an agency's information system. **This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
- The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:

- (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: leading others by setting the standards for the quality of work, even in the most difficult and/or high pressure circumstances; reviewing and editing work completed by others to ensure that the quality of work meets acceptable work standards.
