Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Auditor-Controller or the Assistant Auditor-Controller, to plan, organize, coordinate and manage the general accounting functions of the Auditor-Controller's Office, including the review of accounting records, transactions and proposals; manage and oversee the preparation of the County's financial reports and statements; conducts audits of the accounting records to ensure the dependability of the data; develop, recommend and implement accounting policy and procedures; and perform related work as assigned.

**Responsibilities**:
Qualifications:

- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible accounting and/or auditing experience, with at least three (3) years of the experience in a governmental setting. Two (2) years of the experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Additional professional level accounting and/or auditing experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, certification as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California or an advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain by date of hire, a valid California Driver's License.

Pay: $91,486.08 - $111,201.92 per year
