**Description**:

- The ideal Urban Forest Manager is someone that is self-motivated, possesses leadership abilities, and strong customer service skills. They are very detail oriented, compiling data in order to accurately inventory job sites, estimate job costs, provide proposal recommendations, and present proposals to clients, as needed. They are familiar with regional tree species, and knowledgable in diagnosing insect damage, injury, and/or diseased trees. They work closely with the Operations Team to ensure product quality is aligned with client expectation, and they help to train and/or share their arboriculture knowledge with other departments.**Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)**:

- Creates high quality & detailed proposals using Arbor-Note Software, to include tree mapping/inventories, hours per tree, photos, and other attributes as necessary
- Ability to stay organized & follow up on requests from Management Team in a timely fashion, preferably before due dates
- Utilizes Google Sheets or Arbor-Note to log all pending bid requests
- Identifies regional tree species, makes detailed assessments, and recommends appropriate treatment
- Identifies specific tree issues in the field, including tree removals (in decline), and tree health care, to minimize liabilities and enhance properties for clients
- Obtains samples (i.e., soil) for lab analysis, as needed
- Helps coordinate with, and utilizes Operations Team for support with bid process, as necessary
- Occasionally assists Production Team's in the field to ensure estimate is executed to the level of detail stated in proposal
- Periodically meets and attends walks with clients/customers to discuss tree care needs for their properties and provide proposals
- Follows up with customers on proposals, current jobs, and account management activities
- Attends pre and post job walk, as requested
- Responds to emergency work requests, as needed
- Ability to create maps for jobs that require additional detail than normal work orders
- Provides Production Team's with all information needed to execute job and exceed client expectation
- Creates quality Arborist reports for clients, as requested
- Secures necessary permits, and right of way considerations
- Assists Marketing Specialist with marketing campaigns, and distribution of marketing materials, as needed
- Advocates for safety at all times, and immediately reports any issues observed to Management

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of principles, procedures, and best practices in the tree care industry
- Exemplary customer service skills

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelors Degree in Arboriculture or other industry related field preferred, but not required
- Minimum 5 years industry related job experience
- ISA Certified Arborist required
- TCIA Safety Certifications preferred, or required within 1 year of hire
