**Web Project Manager (WordPress)**

ASTOUNDZ is an exciting Houston-based SEO, Web development, and Web marketing company founded in 2016. With over 300 recurring accounts, ASTOUNDZ is seeing incredible growth, and we are looking to add another ASTOUNDZing individual to our team

We are looking for a strong WordPress developer with great project management skills to help lead our team of developers, both in-house and off-shore. This new team member will help our clients develop amazing websites and improve our client’s online presence through creative content production and technical SEO strategies. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, ambitious, and comfortable in a fun, entrepreneurial culture. You need to be a hard-working self-starter who wants to bring new ideas to the table and possess an understanding of best practices in website development, content creation, and brand visibility from an SEO perspective.

As the Web Project Manager, you will report directly to our VP of Operations and be responsible for overseeing and assisting in our development process. Our goals are to build beautiful websites on a timely basis and to rank well in search.

You are best described as a creative-minded WordPress designer/developer. If you consider a good evening spent hanging out and building websites fun, then you will be a great addition to our team. You must also be extremely customer service-oriented and want to create raving fans through ASTOUNDZzing work

Expect to work with dozens of small and medium-sized service-related businesses, and thinking outside the box is a must. This is an IN-OFFICE position, as we need you to mentor and help manage the team.

**Skills**:

- Strong Project Management Skills
- A strong understanding of the WordPress core, themes, and plugins
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure, with high attention to detail
- Understand how WordPress Themes and MySQL Databases work together
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- The ability to develop both the front-end and back-end of a WordPress website
- Understanding of website conversion into WordPress from any platform
- Understand how to edit and modify WordPress Plugins
- Highly organized
- Must be a part of our company culture

- Strong problem-solving & critical thinking skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Website design and development
- Ability to manage & prioritize multiple projects at different phases with varying scopes, budgets, and timelines
- Strong customer service attitude and skills
- Ability to answer client questions and lead them to the correct conclusions
- Identify opportunities and provide advice to improve our clients’ websites.
- Excellent communication skills, which include active listening and critical thinking.
- Serve as the primary contact for your portfolio of new & existing Customers with website projects.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites
- Optimizing website performance and ensuring their security
- Analyzing customer requirements and proposing the best technological solutions

**Requirements**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or Marketing (or 5+ years of related work experience)
- Previous work experience at a marketing agency or specifically in Project Management
- Experience managing projects or teams that have delivered projects on time, within scope, and to specific quality standards
- Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO platforms.
- 5+ years of demonstrated WordPress experience
- 5+ Years managing WordPress projects
- 5+ Years of customer service experience
- Experience with Theme Builders, such as Divi/ Elementor
- Excellent writing and verbal skills.

**Bonus Qualities**:

- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Experience in e-commerce platforms including WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify
- PMP/ Google Project Management Certification is a plus but not required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
