**Job Title: Head Football Coach**

**Overview**: As the Head Football Coach, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the football program at Burlington High School. You will serve as a mentor, strategist, and motivator for student-athletes, guiding them to achieve both athletic success and personal growth. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the game of football.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**:

- Provide strong, visionary leadership to the football program, fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to build a competitive and successful football team.
- Inspire and motivate student-athletes to perform at their best on and off the field.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, respect, and integrity.
- **Player Development**:

- Evaluate and assess the skills and abilities of student-athletes to determine their positions and roles within the team.
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance players' physical fitness, technical skills, and tactical understanding of the game.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to help players maximize their potential and improve performance.
- Emphasize the importance of academic success and character development among student-athletes.
- Contribute support to school-sponsored performance training programming.
- Provide visible support to athletes participating in other BASD activities and athletics.
- **Game Planning and Strategy**:

- Develop game plans and strategies.
- Analyze game footage.
- Make strategic decisions during games, including play-calling, clock management, and in-game adjustments.
- **Program Administration**:

- Coordinate with school administrators and athletic department staff to ensure the smooth operation of the football program.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and stakeholders to provide updates on team activities, expectations, and performance.
- **Recruitment and Community Engagement**:

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with feeder programs, middle schools, and youth football organizations to cultivate a pipeline of future talent.
- Engage with alumni, fans, and community members to promote school spirit, increase attendance at games, and foster support for the football program.
- Actively support and provide direction and leadership to the Jr. Demons youth football program.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher, preferably as a head coach or assistant coach.
- Thorough knowledge of football rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of developing players and building successful teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with student-athletes, parents, staff, and community members.
- Commitment to promoting academic excellence, sportsmanship, and character development among student-athletes.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Must pass a background check and adhere to all school district policies and procedures.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the football season.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
