Art Teacher

We have an opening for a full-time **Art Teacher** to provide rehabilitation support through creative therapy or expressive therapy (like drawing, painting, etc.) to endorse the psychological and physical well-being of adult individuals with disabilities.

In addition to delivering hands-on developmentally appropriate visual art experiences to **adults with disabilities**, the Art Teacher will also fulfill Expressive Arts sales orders, plan/participate in special art-related events to promote the artists and Ann Storck Center and secure new community art partners.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Art (or related field), Master’s degree, preferred.
- Two years of professional experience
- Formal studio art training.
- Hands-on experience working with adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ability to create unique art lesson plans in various mediums to provide meaningful experiences to the participants.
- Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
- Basic to Intermediate level computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Effective interpersonal skills to negotiate for cooperation and encourage collaboration with superiors, peers, and staff.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Must be able to work independently and have excellent organizational skills.

Ann Storck Center hosts several community programs such as Outpatient Therapy, Residential/ICF, Preschool, Afterschool, Adult Day Training, and Expressive Arts programs. Pay: $58,000.00 per year
