POSITION: CAMPUS AIDE

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Campus Aide's primary responsibilities and qualifications are listed below. All Campus Aides report to their site administrator (s). The Campus Aide is responsible for assisting in maintaining standards of student civility. The Campus Aide is responsible for ensuring the observance of the rules and procedures by students and others on a school campus. The Campus Aide will foster a collaborative and stimulating school environment for a diverse group of students, as well as foster a strong collaboration between parents, faculty members, board members and community partners.

**REPORTS TO**:SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR (S) RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinates and supports supervision
- Enforce Charter School rules and expectations
- Patrols school corridors, restrooms, assembly areas and facilities, bus-loading areas, and other campus locations in order to observe student behavior and prevent violations or unsafe activities.
- Communicates to school administrators regarding causes and effects of campus and community
- Gathers information and provides advice regarding unsafe
- Supports record-keeping regarding student discipline (ex: BIFs, 30 Day Contracts, Class Dojo Reports, Powerschool Logs).
- Coordinates supervision personnel in inclement weather as assigned by site administrators
- May direct students and others and take action, as necessary, to prevent injury to persons or damage to
- May assist a certificated employee in supervising students during field trips and special
- May deliver, set up, lay out, or collect equipment and other
- May assist school administrators in contacting parents regarding students with behavioral problems and in discussing campus security with parent and community groups.
- May discuss with student groups issues relating to narcotics, gambling, attendance, unsafe activities, vandalism, safety, and community relations.
- May work with groups authorized to be on the campus before and after school and keep the campus free of unauthorized persons.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Meet the requirements of the NCLB & ESSA
- Prior experience working with students in a learning environment is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be flexible, positive, detail-oriented, team player patient and willing to
- Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment with flexibility and dedication
- At times this job may entail lifting, walking, sitting and standing for periods of time

No new employee can begin employment until all local mandated trainings are completed and the fingerprint cards are processed by the California Department of Justice and it is determined that there is no criminal conviction that would prohibit the employee from working with students and staff.
