Overview:
**Purpose Statement/Position Summary**:
Psychiatric Clinical Social Worker II provides social work evaluation and treatment services to patients and families with complex psychosocial needs independently or with supervision as needed. Takes a leadership role in coordinating services with the interdisciplinary team and community agencies to ensure appropriate patient care. May provide functional direction to unlicensed social work staff (Clinical Social Workers I, Social Worker Associates) and social work interns. The Psychiatric Social Worker is responsible for supporting and coordinating the mental and behavioral health care of patients on an assigned patient caseload, with the patient's medical provider, and other mental health providers. Employs evidence-based therapeutic treatment interventons and psychoeducation to patients and families. Provides case management as needed.

**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience**: Minimum 4 years overall experience as a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker in a medical setting (or related interdisciplinary environment) working with children, youth, and families; hospital experience preferred. Experience to include 2 years as a Clinical Social Worker I.

**Education/Licensure/Certifications**: Master’s degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or equivalent accreditation. Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California (LCSW). Application process for CCS paneling will be completed within the first 90 days of hire. Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification
