**Location**: This position is located in INDOT's Fort Wayne District.

**Role Overview**: This position will be responsible for assisting with development and production of plans, specifications, and engineering estimates for various road and/ or bridge projects.

**A Day in the Life**:

- Assists in the development of detailed bridge and/or road, traffic, and maintenance plans for a variety of transportation projects prepared for the Fort Wayne District office; assist design engineers and project managers in conduction studies to assess feasibility and soundness of proposed project designs and to recommend changes based on findings regarding roadway and structure improvement type projects.
- Assist in calculating, summarizing, and reviewing plan quantities, including pavement, earthwork and seeding quantities, etc.
- Assist with the project management, accounting, utility coordination, and right-of-way functions related to project development.
- Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

**What You'll Need for Success**:

- Currently enrolled or recent graduate of a Civil Engineering, CADD, or closely related program.
- Ability to understand and interpret a variety of Civil Engineering principles.
- Cooperative with coworkers.
- Possess good oral and written communications skills.
