Service Technician
- I perform vehicle service in the ACC bays.
- Tire Technician
- Mounting/Balancing/Valve Stem/Service Pack/TPM sensor
- Remove tires/wheels from the vehicle
- Perform R.I.S.T procedure:

- Remove debris from mating services
- Inspect components
- Snug in a star pattern
- Torque to specification
- Move tires to rim clamp machine and disassemble tires from the wheel
- Move tires to wheel balancer machine
- Set wheel balancer to correct specs (tire size, circumference, etc.)
- Add the correct amount of wheel weights to the rim
- Place anti seize on each stud of the vehicle
- Place the tire onto the wheel studs
- Torque the lug nuts with correct impact wrench
- Lower vehicle to the ground and utilize the torque stick (set to the proper torque specs)
- Second and Third QC -Quality Control (to include figure eight)
- Stage tire in the lube lanes
- Review Lift Guide for proper lifting procedures and set lift or blocks to proper specs
- Review vehicle and inspect/notate any damages
- Review torque chart for proper torque specs
- Enter all data into Next Gen bay system (torques specs/dot numbers/technician comments)
- Reference Next Gen bay system for services and customer requests
- Move vehicle from service area and bring keys to the salesfloor counter
- Perform open and closing checklist
- Tire rotation and balance
- Move vehicles in and out of the service bays
- Flat repair service
- Stock new tires
- Assist and move tires for tire modular set
- Place waste tires in used tire cage
- Place waste batteries in the used battery cage
- Follow the leaking battery SOP guidelines
- Place customer waste oil into the DIY tank
- TPMS service - reset light
- New services (Air conditioner recharge, Transmission exchange, and Coolant exchange services were applicable)
- Headlight Restoration service
- Fuel Injection service
- Lube Service
- Upper Bay Technician
- Perform spotter duties
- Check vehicle headlights, taillights, turn signals, brakes, license plate, and record in bay system
- Review Next Gen to determine service
- Call out year, make, and model to lower bay tech
- Lift and secure hood
- Place three fender covers on vehicle
- Check oil level, record in bay system
- Determine if CAF needs to be filled out for no oil on dipstick
- Remove oil cap and place on fender cover
- Call out clear to drain
- Check and fill washer fluid, record in bay system
- Check and fill transmission fluid, record in bay system
- Check and fill power steering fluid, record in bay system
- Check and replace air filter as needed, record in bay system
- Check and replace wiper blade as needed, record in bay system
- Check and test battery, record in bay system
- Pour oil into container from holding and add oil to vehicle using funnel and shop towel around the bottom of the funnel
- Call out “clear to start vehicle”
- Sit in vehicle with foot on the brake and start the vehicle
- Let vehicle run for 30 secs for pressure check
- Call out “pressure up”
- Shut off vehicle
- Perform oil level check and top off oil as needed
- Perform final oil level check and record in bay system (some vehicles require a diagnostic
- Touch and secure all caps - Utilize call and echo
- Remove fender covers
- Close the hood and wipe off any oil residue
- Stock oil and wiper blades daily
- Clean service area floor
- Clean equipment
- Take out trash
- Outside service area maintenance - pick up trash, gather carts, etc
- Perform open and closing checklist
- Courtesy Technician
- Stage service writer stand to the apron of the ACC
- Service writer tablet is charged and in working order - updates completed
- Review Next Gen bay for next vehicle to be serviced
- Secure key of vehicle to be serviced
- Locate and unlock vehicle
- Place seat cover, floormats cover and steering wheel cover in customer vehicle
- Remove safety chain
- Pull vehicle into the service bay - honk horn upon entering
- Replace safety chain
- Follow the spotter
- Perform light check - Headlights, brake lights, turn signals, tail lights, and license plate
- Secure the park brake
- Roll down drivers side window
- Pull hood latch to raise hood
- Assign vehicle to bay within Next Gen bay
- Review services for vehicle
- Wash the windshield record in bay system
- Check/replace wiper blades and record in bay system
- Vacuum floorboard and seats/place items on seats that were on floor record in bay system
- Check door placard and Inflate tires starting with drivers front for all four tires to vehicle specs record in bay system
- Start vehicle and perform pressure check
- Reset oil indicator light (Review manual for reset steps)
- Shut off vehicle
- Remove window sticker from printer and install in the upper left hand corner of the windshield
- Start vehicle, exit service area with spotter and honking the horn
- Park vehicle, roll up windows, and lock the vehicle
- Take the keys into the counter and secure the service order from the printer
- Place keys and service order within the serv
