**Newsradio 620 WTMJ Producer**

**(Milwaukee, WI)**

**The Role of a Producer**:
The primary role of a Full-Time Producer will be to work with host(s) on content planning and execution, run the board for drive-time shows, support the content director on show production and log fulfillment, collaborate with other show producers on the sharing of news, ideas, and audio, work in conjunction with marketing/promotions on contesting and sponsorships, and assist engineers on ensuring the station is operating within FCC guidelines and is on-the-air.

**Daily Tasks of a Producer**:

- Produce Wisconsin's Afternoon News on WTMJ. 3pm-6pm Monday-Friday.
- Have an understanding and interest in the daily news cycle.
- Work with on-air hosts to develop daily content plans and social media strategy
- Sourcing potential contributors and interviewees
- Social media proficiency in posting about the show, including stories, interviews, & podcasts
- Converting text, graphics, video, and audio files for all digital platforms
- Create daily audio and video content
- Contribute to, and make use of, archived audio files and sources for content segments
- Responding to audience feedback, and referring on to other departments as necessary
- Aptitude in editing software such as Adobe Audition & Adobe Premier for production purposes
- Other assigned tasks

**Preferred knowledge, skills, and qualifications**:

- Previous experience producing news/talk programming, experience in a newsroom, or experience working in television news
- A passion for local news and covering impactful stories
- Desire to be part of a team and working in a fast-paced environment
- Personal sense of responsibility & accountability
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to accept & provide feedback

**Hours/Salary/Benefits**

Good Karma Brands offers a competitive base salary. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
