Outpatient Scheduling Representative

**Responsibilities**:
- The Outpatient Scheduling Representative (OSR) is responsible for accurately coordinating and scheduling ambulatory office appointments, complex diagnostic procedures and obtaining pre-registration information, including demographics and insurance, as well as verifying and communicating authorization requirements.
- The OSR conducts physician office/patient interviews, collects clinical information in response to scheduling questions.
- The OSR explains hospital procedure guidelines and necessary patient preparations, and coordinates with clinical departments regarding protocols, STAT appointments, and modifications to normal scheduling protocols.
- Duties are provided onsite at the Advanced Access Center, ambulatory physician offices, hospital departments or a combination thereof.
- Schedule: 40 hours/week. Must be available to start work at 8:00am at times and to work until 6:00pm at times to cover office open hours.
