**Job Summary**:
Advises new, continuing, and prospective students on admissions, placement testing, courses, program requirements, registration procedures, financial aid assistance, veteran affairs, and other student services support. Correspondence on behalf of the Department-Public Relations. Evaluates incoming transcripts; responds to nursing students requests for official and unofficial transcripts; verifies eligibility to submit for various nursing programs. Responsible for file/record maintenance and coordination between programs.

**Essential Functions**:
25% - Correspondence on behalf of the Department-Public Relations. As Primary liaison connects students with academic and personal resources including tutoring, counseling, and career Services. Acts as college/department liaison to current and prospective students, faculty, staff and external groups on issues related to academic advising and success. Participates in student recruitment activities: Open house etc.

25% -Coordination: Contributes to collection of statistical data relating to Student Services within the nursing department. Provides and interprets College and MCCCD policies and procedures related to admissions, curriculum, advising, student success and degree completion. Overall student services functions. Coordinates projects related to student learning, success, and retention. Researched program opportunities, industry stand
