Eagle Foods products are marketed and distributed across all U.S. retail channels, including grocery stores, club stores and mass-merchandisers, as well as foodservice and export, U.S. military, and private label business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Follow safe operating procedures and review and offer updates as necessary.
- Set-up, calibrate, maintain, and repair process equipment as needed
- Operate manual machinery and oversee automated processes.
- Run test products to ensure quality and accuracy of production meets the set standard.
- Feed raw ingredients to process and monitor inventory levels.
- Observe dials and gauges while the machinery is in use to ensure everything is set at the correct temperature, and adjust as necessary
- Collect samples from the machines while in the middle of processing to visually inspect the quality of the product
- Be cognizant of any changes in a machine’s capabilities, and report any malfunctons to management
- Set and control flow rates, temperatures, and machinery pressures
- Clean equipment and workspaces according to health and safety rules and regulations
- Oversee unit operations and any moving pieces, etc. during the production process and adjust speed and/or settings as needed.
- Observe and monitor input/output, accuracy, and efficiency of the process.
- Keep a daily activity log of production notes (including totals, out of spec, etc.)
- Follow site GMP, Food Safety, and personal safety requirements (wearing required PPE).
- Dispose of and/or recycle any waste in line with company environmental policy.
- Assist plant team members as needed, and perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-year experience in related position
- Training, certfication, or degree from a technical college or vocational school preferred.
- Automated (central control system) food or liquid/solids processing operator experience preferred.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work efficiently and safely
- Ability to work in hot environments with loud noises
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lb. bags or hoses.
- Able to stand for long time periods to monitor production process
- Experience working with industrial machinery
