- The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking to fill a Secretary Specialist vacancy in Augusta._

Representative duties of the position include: Liaise between Commissioner, senior managers, legislators, and both internal and external constituents on key matters; compose, review, and edit correspondence; transmit orders and decisions with explanations as necessary; interpret and implement the policies and decisions of agency management; schedule meetings and events; maintain records of correspondence in accordance with state law and Department policy; maintain building control for staff in four regional offices; and coordinate with reception staff to answer public calls and direct visitors.
- Experience with public relations, dealing with complaints and difficult customers.
- Experience with governmental processes for purchasing, hiring, and travel.
- Experience with building control systems.
