We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.
We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.
**Greenhouse Gas Representative**
**Job Summary**
Western Midstream is looking for a Greenhouse Gas Representative as a member of the Western Midstream’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Security Team. This position will be based out of The Woodlands, TX and will provide greenhouse gas support for Western Midstream.
**Qualifications**:
- A general understanding of federal and state air quality permitting, compliance regulations, reporting, and records management including a general understanding of the GHG Protocol and EPA Greenhouse Gas Reporting programs is required.
- Experience in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah is preferred.
- Experience with emission calculations and environmental management information systems (EMIS) and databases.
- Experience with Intelex Asset and Compliance Tracking System (ACTS) database is preferred but not required.
- Motivation to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a cooperative team environment is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and develop WES’ climate reporting program, including: scope 1 and scope 2 emissions reporting, drafting climate disclosures, and managing other regulatory and voluntary reporting frameworks.
- Support emission calculations, data quality improvement efforts, and climate reporting controls and regulatory compliance.
- Track and manage reporting protocols and implement reporting program changes.
- Support the development and execution of WES’ ACTS database and reporting emissions; including the configuration of greenhouse gas and criteria pollutant emission calculations within ACTS.
- Engage actively with functional teams including operations and HSE & Security teams, providing guidance and support on various projects and programs.
- Facilitate and contribute to meetings, offering valuable insights and support in-line with organizational goals.
- Demonstrate autonomy in delivering results, meeting set objectives, and spearheading process improvement initiatives independently.
**Education**
A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering, Science, Digital Technology, or other industry-related field. Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.
**License / Certifications**
A valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
**Relocation**
This position is not eligible for relocation.
**Travel Requirements**
The percentage of travel required for this position is 5-10%.
**Work Schedule**
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
