**POSITION**: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) provides leadership and strategic direction for NVI’s goals. The ED oversees fiscal matters, guides the organization’s short-term and long-term objectives, and offers the foresight necessary for developing and implementing NVI’s strategic plan.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Administration & Leadership**_
- Maintains and oversees the annual budget, outside audit, and overall financial strategy.
- Ensures NVI’s operations align with organizational policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Aligns strategic outcomes with community involvement, guided by NVI’s principles, vision, mission, and DEIB. -Supports a strong board of directors, serving as ex-officio of each committee, and fosters board involvement in local operations’ strategic direction. -Leads and develops NVI’s senior management team. -Understands critical societal issues affecting the community NVI serves. -Positions NVI as a community partner and leader in nonviolence training, services and when policy and funding strategies affecting its work are being developed.
- **Fundraising & Communications**:_
- Increases revenue and fundraising activities to enhance program operations by 10%.
- Applies business management practices to development and grant writing.
- Improves communications, from web presence to external relations, for a stronger brand.
- Leverages external presence and relationships for new opportunities.
- Attends and networks at nonprofit events with relevant stakeholders.
- Builds relationships with staff, the public, and media.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
The ED must be thoroughly committed to NVI’s mission and should have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.

Other qualifications include:

- At least 5 years of executive level leadership experience.
- A commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
- Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, cultures, and communities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate persuasively and passionately.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines timely.
- An action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to meetings, trainings, or campus and community locations.
- Availability during non-traditional working hours, including nights and weekends.

**POSITION STATUS**:This is a full-time position with benefits and tuition reimbursement.

**SALARY**:Hiring salary $95,000 to $130,000 commensurate with education and experience.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
