We are looking for a reliable, professional, Director for an established, accredited preschool. Must be flexible with availability, and may be needed at differing times occasionally.
Skills, Education, And Experience. Will be responsible for the day to day running of the center including staff development, Handling the administration of a school involves many tasks. Whether supervising teachers, developing program plans, or preparing budgets, preschool directors balance various responsibilities to make sure their schools run smoothly.

Duties in a preschool director job description might include:

- Overseeing teachers and classroom activities
- Hiring and training staff and teachers
- Organizing professional development activities
- Developing policies and procedures that meet state requirements and communicating them to staff and teachers
- Managing and preparing budgets
- Following Curriculum and standards that support educational excellence
- Working with staff to communicate with parents and students
- Discussing student progress with parents
- Coordinating the maintenance and cleaning of the facility according to state and local standards

A preschool director is in charge of managing all aspects of a preschool, from keeping student-to-teacher ratios appropriate to ensuring the excellence of the curriculum and organizing student enrollment. Though the work places a lot of responsibility on a preschool director, it also offers genuine gratification.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a CDA or Related degree in Early Childhood
- At least three years of early childhood education experience required, with one year being in Hillsborough County. An understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and the ability to ensure its use in the classroom
- Experience with USDA food program required
- Experience with Early Learning Coalition required
- Director Credential with VPK endorsement
- A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference in their and their families lives every day
- Excellent administrative, and organizational skills, proficient with a computer, some knowledge of Microsoft Applications a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, listening, and communication skills required
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to take over a classroom if necessary, and give teachers breaks
- Familiarity with ProCare is helpful
- Familiarity and Experience with APPLE Accreditation also helpful

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
