The Plant Laborer will be tasked with performing multiple plant duties safely and efficiently while maintaining a safety-first attitude. This position requires management resources to adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ, etc.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures by MSHA/OSHA and Alleyton policies.
- Safely perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, complete daily equipment reports/plant inspections, and report unsafe equipment/conditions to supervisor or foreman.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate equipment safely and productively at all times as assigned.
- Must be able or willing to learn to operate other mobile equipment, including haul trucks, motor graders, water trucks, and loaders.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on plants and equipment using water hoses and shovels.
- Assist maintenance personnel with plant repairs when needed. Perform preventative maintenance.
- Cross-train on other positions in the plant to serve as a relief to other operators.
- Demonstrates a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level and works as a team player.
- Assist with upkeep and greasing all bearings in the plant.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skills, and/or ability. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

**Education and/or Experience**: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience in safely operating heavy mobile equipment or the aggregates industry is preferred. General maintenance abilities are required. Proficient knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety requirements.

**Computer Skills**: Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- This position will be considered for night shift roles if they become available. Evenings and night shifts may be expected.
