**Job purpose**

The Quality Technician position is responsible for all activities related to processing equipment testing as defined by the contract, along with maintaining all test floor equipment and associated documentation. In addition, this role is responsible for the Quality Control of all incoming/outgoing equipment and maintaining quality standards of the test floor and associated area.

**Duties and Main Responsibilities**
- Perform hydrostatic testing of all required equipment
- Setup equipment on the test floor
- Perform all functions of Performance testing as defined in the order details
- Process Test reports and communicate to the Project Engineer when testing is complete and test results are available
- Monitor and ensure all testing is completed on schedule as defined by the Production Schedule
- Remove all equipment from the test floor in preparation for paint/shipment
- Finalize and implement “remote witness” testing plan for the test floor
- Maintain all equipment and accessories of the test floor
- Document and maintain all hardware and accessories of the test floor
- Schedule and coordinate all required calibrations of all company equipment
- Organize test office area
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of testing process
- Responsible for all quality items identified in the shop
- Formal reporting & documenting of non-conformance issues
- Document and communicate all NCR issues to Supply Chain for processing
- Identify opportunities for improvement and generate paperwork for processing
- Perform quality inspections of incoming materials
- Develop and implement Quality process for incoming fabricated components, non-fabricated, etc.
- Generate and maintain all documentation in alignment with the ISO certification process
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company policies that adhere to state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. (OSHA compliance).
- Swift and effective resolution of quality related issues with supply chain where appropriate.
- Assembly support as required

**Qualifications & Experience**
- A BS degree in Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, or similar disciplines is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with ISO-9001 or other ISO standards
- Experience in manual inspection using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement equipment
- Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

**Working conditions**

This position will split time working on activities in both an office and manufacturing shop floor environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and other typical shop floor conditions. The noise level in the work environment would be considered typical for a manufacturing environment but may require ear protection at times. Protective eyewear and clothing & shoes appropriate for a typical shop floor environment are required.

**Physical requirements**

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, stand, see, and hear. This position is physically active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing at times. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds (unassisted) and use lifting devices for larger items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
