**JOB MISSION**:
As a **Systems and Storage Architect**, you will strategically design and implement on-prem and cloud solutions, that support core organizational functions, and assure high availability, reliability and performance of New Balance’s on-prem and cloud environments including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level.
Your focus will be on working with the Global Platform team on advisory items regarding on-prem and move to cloud strategy and execution, along with cost control measures and automating processes such as migrations and deployments.
**MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems.
- Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide architectural expertise, direction, leadership and assistance to Global Core Platforms team and New Balance infrastructure team worldwide.
- Assist and support the Information Security and Network team to develop a with a security first process.
- Work directly with hardware and teams Cloud vendor support and success teams.
**REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS**:
- 10-15 years of experience working in an IT environment.
- Minimum 5 year of experience with Cloud services providers
- Understanding of Advanced networking related to both cloud and on prem networks.
- Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans.
- Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
- Proven experience in systems and network design and development
- Must be proactive and customer service focused.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong and professional communication skills.

**Flexible Work Schedule**
