**THE POSITION**:

The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking an eager bilingual Career Advisor Trainee with excellent communications skills to provide customer-centered services designed to enhance workforce development activities and service strategies. The services we provide are designed to help individuals identify their goals and make them a reality. **DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:

- Bring your ambition to our department where you will utilize your public contact experience to make a positive impact throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- ** Telework**:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in New Kensington.
- ** Salary**:_ _**In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
- ** Note**: Upon successful completion of the Career Advisor Trainee training program, Trainees may be promoted to Career Advisor.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- Four years of public contact work that involved interviewing the public to obtain, provide, and evaluate information concerning employment or employability; **or**:

- A bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

**Other Requirements**:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
