The goal of The Door’s Career and Education Services Department is to support young people in completing secondary education and successfully transitioning into post-secondary education and employment. Programs within the Career and Education Services Department (CareerED) are designed to help both in-school and out-of-school youth to set and attain their educational and career goals. CareerED services allow a young person to craft a personalized life plan defining the steps he/she will take to achieve those goals while developing the necessary skills for future life success and independence.

The Advance and Earn Assistant Director will oversee responsible for overall management and outcomes achievement for Advance and Earn in our Bronx Youth Center and our headquarters in Soho. In this capacity, the Advance and Earn Program Director will provide leadership, direction and oversight of Advance and Earn and its multiple program services including employer partnerships; work readiness and occupational skills training; pre-HSE, HSE and college preparation services; internship, employment placement services; and case management and post-placement retention services to meet contract and program requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide supervision, training, and support to the Advance and Earn Academic Supervisor and Training Supervisor
- Work with program leadership team to manage participant recruitment, coordinate service integration across the various components of the Advance and Earn program; and track service delivery and achievement of program outcomes
- Work with program leadership team and staff to develop and refine program services curricula that will prepare young people to attain their HSE degrees and move into occupational skills training
- Create and maintain a network of partners across higher education institutions, training programs, businesses, and organizations that can provide academic and training services and/or serve as a conduit to further career and education opportunities, including long-term career growth and increased income potential
- Work with new and existing partner organizations to design and continually expand on career and education training opportunities for young people
- Develop protocol for centralizing documentation of participants’ milestone achievements across Advance and Earn, and oversee distribution of related Advance and Earn stipends and program incentives
- Develop and oversee a standardized quality assurance process for data and file management, including but not limited to internal audits of database system and participant files
- Attend all relevant meetings, trainings, workshops and outside events
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff in the development and facilitation of agency-wide programming and events
- Handle any appropriate responsibilities and functions as assigned by managing director
- Manage contracts or aspects of contracts related to education program and serve as liaison to funders, agencies and networking groups
- Work as part of the Advance and Earn management team to ensure coordinated delivery of academic, coaching, occupational skills training, placement, and retention services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff in the development and facilitation of agency-wide programming and events
- Handle any appropriate responsibilities and functions as assigned by Supervisor
- Assist with oversight of EPOCH & BYC programming outcomes in its entirety

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Master's Degree in social work, education, counseling, public policy, or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in youth development, workforce development, or education fields including experience managing government and performance-based contracts
- Demonstrated experience in academic and career readiness curriculum development; experience with contextualized academic curriculum development strongly preferred
- Experience with developing and managing sectorial training and employment programs
