**Job Overview**: The Porter plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations within the service area by assisting service advisors and attending to customer needs promptly and professionally. This position encompasses various responsibilities including vehicle intake procedures, quality control checks, customer service, maintaining cleanliness, vehicle washing, and fleet management. The Porter must exhibit exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to address any arising needs promptly.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Vehicle Intake Procedures**:

- Perform comprehensive vehicle walk-around inspections before intake into the shop and after completion of service.
- Capture photographs of essential areas of the vehicle including all four corners of the exterior, under the hood, driver's seat and interior driver door, vehicle tachometer, and CBS data (if applicable).
- Assist in performing quality control checks for service advisors and technicians after a period of training.
- **Customer Service**:

- Professionally greet customers both on the drive and in the lobby.
- Escort customers to service advisors when necessary, holding doors open and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Conduct periodic walkthroughs of the shop and customer waiting area to maintain cleanliness and ensure adequate supplies.
- **Vehicle Maintenance**:

- Wash finished vehicles, ensuring a thorough cleaning of exteriors, windows, and courtesy vacuuming of interior floors.
- Coordinate with shop apprentices for assistance when required.
- Obtain permission from advisors before proceeding with vehicle washing.
- **Loaner Fleet Management**:

- Check in loaner vehicles using the ARS system, inspecting for damages, and reporting findings accordingly.
- Record current mileage and fuel status manually or using designated technology.
- Regularly assess the loaner fleet, identifying vehicles needing refueling, washing, or vacuuming.
- **Transportation and Miscellaneous Tasks**:

- Provide transportation services for customers to and from work, home, or local businesses as needed.
- Facilitate pick-up or drop-off of parts and test drive vehicles post-repairs.
- Coordinate with advisors before leaving to ensure no pending customer transportation needs.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Count parts inventory and update records in the system accurately.
- Receive incoming parts and organize them in designated areas for easy retrieval.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation purposes.
- Must be able to drive manual transmission car

Pay: $16.52 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
