**Description**

Under the supervision of the Department Manager and Charge Nurse, the Medical Assistant will have both front and back office duties. The Department Manager will supervise front office tasks and responsibilities and the Charge Nurse will supervise Medical Assistant tasks and responsibilities.

**Required qualifications**:

- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
- 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant in a community clinic setting.
- 1 year experience in community clinic billing/coding.
