Education Coordinator

OBJECTIVE:
The Education Coordinator at St. Mary's Center for Women and Children plays a crucial role in advancing our mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty by overseeing and enhancing the educational services provided to families experiencing homelessness. This position aims to create an empowering learning environment and facilitate educational programs that contribute to the holistic development of individuals.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
(These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and may be adjusted as necessary.)

Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs (Curriculum) tailored to the unique needs of families receiving services at St. Mary’s Center.
- Coordinate and lead workshops, tutoring sessions, and other educational activities to promote skill development, academic achievement, and life skills.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and volunteers to expand educational resources and opportunities for program participants.
- Monitor and assess the progress of individuals in educational programs, providing guidance and support to overcome challenges.
- Utilize data-driven insights to continually enhance the effectiveness of educational initiatives, ensuring alignment with St. Mary's Center's goals.

Scholarship Management
- Participate in maintenance of all records and data for the scholarship program through the Education and Employment Scholarship Tracker.

Other Duties as Assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Skills
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by families experiencing homelessness and the ability to develop responsive and inclusive educational strategies.
- Knowledge of statewide educational resources, career exploration programs, and community services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, staff, and external partners.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting, with the ability to track program outcomes and measure educational initiatives' impact.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches and the ability to create a supportive and compassionate learning environment.

Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in human resources, Social Work, Business, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in program development and management, preferably in an educational setting serving marginalized communities.
