**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced Health Services Director to oversee the Resident Care Department. The Health Services Director will ensure that all aspects of our residents' health care needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who is either a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) and has experience in assisted living.

**Key Qualifications**:

- CA Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with strong background in long-term care will be considered (State license must be current and in good standing).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.
- Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff
- Strong documentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in assisted living settings.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on resident-centered care.
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal regulations governing assisted living.
- Ability to develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and care plans.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership and supervision to the Resident Care Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that meets regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with Administrator for hiring, supervising, evaluating, and addressing necessary corrective action to care staff.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to residents' individual needs, coordinating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Oversee the assessment, planning, and implementation of resident care, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Oversee the resident assessment process to ensure all residents are up to date in their care needs.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to maintain a skilled and motivated care team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services across the continuum of care.
- Ensures that changes in resident condition are evaluated, monitored, documented and effective interventions are implemented within the EMR software.
- Provides oversight of medication management systems, and ensures that medications are dispensed in a safe and effective manner, that MARS are accurate and complete, and that medication cart is orderly, with all medications appropriately packaged and stored
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers, promoting open communication and addressing concerns promptly.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives to improve service delivery and enhance resident satisfaction.
- Maintains knowledge of current OSHA and state regulations, and routinely monitors Community compliance with the regulations related to resident care and nursing functions

Medium Work
- Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
