Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Preparation
- Create and issue accurate invoices to customers for goods sold or services rendered.
- Ensure that all necessary details such as customer information, service or product descriptions, quantities, and pricing are correctly captured on the invoices.
- Obtain and verify purchase order (PO) numbers from customers, if applicable, and include them in the invoice to facilitate easy reference and expedite payment processing.
- Customer Communication
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding their account status and outstanding invoices.
- Payment Follow-Up
- Actively follow up with customers on outstanding payments, utilizing a systematic approach for reminders at set intervals (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly).
- Keep detailed records of all communication with customers regarding invoice queries and payment commitments.
- Record Keeping and Reporting
- Update and maintain accurate records of all invoiced amounts, received payments, and outstanding balances.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status for management, highlighting any overdue accounts and actions taken.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Perform accrual accounting and maintain accurate records
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pay: $52,455.61 - $63,172.35 per year
