Looking for a great nurse leader for the Pasadena Highlands clinical team. Needs to be able to establish effective relationships with residents, team members and team members. This role is the Director positions of a team and will be in charge overall of the care, staffing, training and assessments. This position can be a LVN, LPN, RN certification and have prior leadership experience in a assisted living building. We have around 200 residents and over 40 team members to oversee. It is important for us to have a person that is a problem solver, positive attitude and holds self and team accountable for tasks. We want to be know as the best care in Pasadena. The primary job function of the Wellness Nurse is for the overall implementation, delivery and coordination of resident care services at the community. Supervise medical technicians and care staff, ensure that we are providing the best quality of care to our senior residents, adhering to all company and regulatory standards.

The Wellness Nurse will perform assessments of potential residents to determine their levels of care and continually assess our existing residents to make sure their needs are being met, implement and maintain an accurate wellness record for each resident, supervise the storage, distribution, and administering of and discontinuation of residents medications, serve as the liaison between residents and their families, administration and staff as well as with the resident's physician, pharmacist and medical personnel. Schedule and staff your department, while playing a key role on the management team of a successful Assisted Living Community.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Manage assisted living and memory care programs to company standards, policies, and procedures
- Supervise Caregivers and Med Technicians including hiring, training, mentoring and scheduling
- Develop monthly schedules keeping overtime to a minimum
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for all
- Ensure communication with resident family members and appropriate collaborators (doctors, home health, physical therapy, etc)

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum of 2 years experience in geriatrics
- Minimum 2 years of management experience, training and mentoring staff
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- Love working with seniors above all

**PREFERENCES**:

- LVN/LPN current and active
- RCFE CA certification current
- 3+ years experience in activities with older adults including dementia related programs
