Description:
The Release Manager will provide support to integrate the software necessary for software development activities. This could include, but not limited to, supporting system software upgrades and components needed to meet development requirements.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Release and Deployment Management

Serve as the release manager to:

- Receive a notice of upcoming release from Development Teams.
- Schedule deployment activities with OCIO for STAGING and PROD.
- Ensure readiness for the release prior to deployment in STAGING and PROD, i.e., complete, and accurate documentation attached, pre-requisite tasks completed, and all necessary approvals attached.
- Continuously update release tickets to ensure process transparency.
- Provide technical assistance to developers to troubleshoot/ remediate defects discovered in STAGING environment.
- Conduct weekly release meetings to discuss upcoming release schedule and coordinate release and deployment activities with the development teams and project managers.

**Requirements**:

- 5-7 years of experience in Release Management or similar position

**Must have the following recent experience**:

- Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
- Planning release windows and cycles across portfolios, components
- Managing relationships working on interrelated processes
- Communicating crucial release plans and changes
- Measuring and monitoring progress to achieve a timely software release within defined budgetary limits and defined quality standards
- Coordinating processes between different teams (possibly in various locations)
- Communicating necessary release details to business teams
- An expert understanding of software development lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Structured thinking

**Additional Information**:

- Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting.

**Other Information**:

- The salary for this position is **$75,000 - $115,000** annually
- This is a full-time W2 position.
