**Responsibilities**
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda, appellate briefs and discovery
- E-file all court documents in state and federal court.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court, counsel, and others.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
- Draft discovery documents, requests and responses.
- Draft complaint packages based on county requirements.
- Coordinate and summarize depositions.
- Prepare hearing and trial binders and exhibits
- Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics).
- Maintain case files.
- Assist attorney with witness preparation, case settlement, and other tasks as directed by attorney.

**Requirements**:

- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- At least 2 years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
- Experience with state and federal litigation (preferred)
- Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices, etc.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
