**The primary purpose of the role**:
Manages activities of warehouse and material handling personnel in a manufacturing facility. Manages the Receiving Clerks, Data Entry Personnel, and Warehouse Coordinators in receiving, storing, packing, and shipping materials/distribution of products. Ensures associates comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safe, efficient operations and maintain a positive working environment.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provides daily work direction to Warehouse staff, and hourly warehouse and material handling associates to ensure proper receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of raw materials and distribution of completed products. Assigns associates to specific duties, such as loading/unloading trucks, verifying cargo, and preparing shipments.
- Plans manages, and adjusts daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime.
- Communicates and applies company philosophy, policies, procedures, and expectations to assigned staff and ensures compliance.
- Daily guidance on safety, machine operation, sanitation, quality, customer service, and maintenance is provided. Administers operational procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposing of shipments, and keeping warehouse inventory. Trains employees on warehouse procedures, including how to operate warehouse equipment and material handling vehicles, to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- As appropriate, deliver associate orientation, training, performance reviews, and/or development.
- Following established procedures, direct receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and related reporting. Ensures proper verification of shipping/receiving paperwork (e.g., bills of lading, cargo manifests, dock reconciliations, etc.).
- Communicates with Production, dispatching, carriers, drivers, and related personnel to ensure the flow of material/finished product in and out of the facility.
- Ensures continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduce waste, and improve customer performance.
- Monitors warehouse activities to ensure compliance with customer expectations for accuracy, quality, food safety, and timeliness. Develops and implement action plans to address production performance concerns or improve warehouse operations.
- Ensures raw materials are available for production based on production schedules. Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
- This position has responsibility for Food Safety and Quality within their influence. The associate in this job is responsible for reporting, in a timely manner, Food Safety and Quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action on those problems.

**Qualifications/ Capability Profile**:
**Minimum Education**
- High School Diploma - Essential
- Bachelor's Degree in related field -Desirable

**Minimum Experience**
- One to three (2 to 4) years of experience in managing a warehousing, logistics, inventory control, or logistics environment, with a particular preference for food manufacturing experience -Essential
- Experience interacting with company customers -Essential
- One to three (1 to 3) years in a lead or supervisory role -Essential
