The Head of Closing will report to the President of Ternus and will oversee all aspects of the closing, post-closing, and loan delivery process for our lending operations. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage departmental functions, ensure compliance with legal standards, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the closing process.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership and Management**: Lead the closing department, managing all closing officers and staff. Ensure the team is effective, efficient, and aligned with company goals.
- **Process Optimization**: Develop and implement policies and procedures that streamline the closing process, reduce errors, and ensure timely closings.
- **Compliance and Quality Assurance**: Ensure all closing activities comply with federal, state, and company regulations. Monitor changes in legislation and adjust processes accordingly.
- **Stakeholder Coordination**: Liaise with credit committee/board of directors, underwriting, processing, and sales departments to ensure smooth transition of files through the closing stage. Maintain strong relationships with external partners such as attorneys, title companies, and investor counterparts.
- **Performance Metrics**: Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to closing timelines, customer satisfaction, and team productivity. Implement corrective measures when necessary.
- **Training and Development**: Provide training and development opportunities for closing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of industry standards and technology.
- **Problem Resolution**: Address and resolve complex closing issues, providing guidance and support to the closing team as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in mortgage closing, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Comprehensive understanding of the mortgage industry, including detailed knowledge of closing practices and legal requirements.
- Proven track record of managing and leading teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using mortgage-related software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
