Accounts Payable/fuel Clerk

Our client, a privately held established company located in Lyndhurst, NJ, seeks an **Accounts Payable/Fuel Clerk for a Temp to Hire position.**

The primary function of the Accounts Payable/Fuel Clerk is to issue cash advances to truck drivers for fuel & misc. expenses. Prepare fuel/cash advance reports for approval. Perform data Entry into AS400 System. Prepare reports in an Excel format.

**Duties for the Accounts Payable/Fuel Clerk include but are not limited to**:

- Post cash advances, petty cash, maintain an inventory of Com-checks issued, & preparation of check request for accountings approval and payment.
- Report daily owner operator/company fuel usage on Excel spreadsheets.
- Communicate with manager weekly regarding fuel price per gallon.
- Communicate with payroll daily regarding Com-check inventory.
- Report EZ-Pass usage, maintain an inventory of all tags, and report to manager if replenishment is needed.
- Update OPIS fuel prices daily on Excel spreadsheet.
- Issue, maintain inventory, and troubleshoot Com-data fuel card problems.

**Requirements for the Accounts Payable/Fuel Clerk are**:

- High School Diploma
- 2 - 3 years Accounts Payable experience
- Must be proficient in Excel & computer literate
- 3 - 5 years Logistics background
- Willingness to learn
- Attention to detail
- Dependability
- Ability to work and communicate with others in a professional manner
