Legal Assistant

Schuylkill Hope Center seeks a full time Legal Assistant to perform clerical duties and assist the Staff Attorney for its Civil Legal Project. Duties include: producing legal documents as directed by Attorney; communicating effectively with clients and court representatives; maintaining attorney’s calendar and a client data base. Must be a self-starter, and willing to deal with sensitive family law matters. Also, must demonstrate sensitivity to women’s issues from a feminist perspective.

**Required**: Paralegal or legal assistant certificate or degree. At least three years of legal assistant experience in a litigation and family law practice, or in a public interest law firm or similar setting preferred. Child abuse, criminal background, driving record check, and FBI clearances required.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
