Shop Production Worker

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, and industry and process knowledge in relevant product areas
- Learn and maintain knowledge of how to pull orders and ensure all jobs are loaded correctly
- Ensure that all orders are pulled and processed in the appropriate allotted time
- Receive truckload and less than truckload (LTL) shipments and reconcile with purchase orders
- Ensure that the yard and work areas are maintained in an organized manner
- Ensure that the shop and yard area is clean and free of debris at all times
- Ensure quality control inspections are being done in a consistent manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform inventory and report to office manager
- Deliver and pickup materials as needed from suppliers and to job sites
- Drive forklift for loading and unloading of materials
- Ability to lift 80lb bags of concrete, lumber etc.

**Skills**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Skilled in verbal and written communications
- Previous construction experience is preferred (fencing, framing, roofing carpentry)
- Detail-oriented with organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn all the products used and be able to locate products in the shop and the yard
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with the internet
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and possess a strong work ethic
- Forklift certification is not required but preferred
- Ability to treat others with respect and gain trust and respect from subordinates, supervisors, and customers
- Exceedingly positive in his/her work attitude
- Ability to drive a pickup truck with a 16' trailer

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
