Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the operation of our busy hearing aid practice. Your primary responsibility will be providing administrative support to audiology staff and excellent customer service to our patients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule patient appointments
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as required; submit and track claims
- Process incoming/outgoing hearing aid orders and repairs
- Provide administrative support such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
**Requirements**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative support functions
- Proficient with electronic medical records (EPIC experience preferred)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic nature when interacting with patients
- High level of professionalism and integrity
Salary commensurate with experience.
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
