The Health and Wellness Program Manager's primary role will be to oversee the ongoing development and day-to-day operations of the Health and Wellness Program at Jenna’s Promise located in Johnson, Vermont. This program is one of the core pillars of the Jenna's Promise model, and the manager will work on site at Jenna's House Community Center.

This role includes oversight of an exercise facility (gym) and other wellness spaces, including programming, safety, cleanliness and upkeep, and orientations. It will include the management of all health and wellness services provided to Jenna’s Promise residents, clients, program participants, and partners. And this role will also include the development and implementation of other recreational and wellness activities to be added either on-site or through community partnerships.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Coordinate, implement, and deliver recovery support services that promote whole-person health and wellbeing.
- Develop referral pathways to and from partner agencies/services for program participants.
- Identify additional local recovery supports and connect program participants with supports as needed.
- Track and report on programmatic activities as required, including weekly data, monthly board reports and more.
- Utilize the required Jenna's Promise data management system to track required information and documentation
- Abide by HIPAA privacy regulations, 42 CFR, and any additional policies set forth by Jenna’s Promise.
- Increase utilization of the exercise facility and other Jenna’s Promise health and wellness activities
- Manage the gym space and other wellness spaces, including flower and vegetable gardens as well as assist with staffing and maintaining Jenna's House Community Center
- Participate in tours and other public facing events to share about the program
- Work effectively with other management and leadership to ensure the success of the program and collaboration between the H+W program and other core programs
- Plan and help to provide up to weekly meals with and for residents and staff

**Requirements**:

- An affinity for working with people in recovery or seeking recovery from a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring conditions, and a belief that people can and do recover.
- A wholehearted acceptance of all pathways to and in recovery from substance use disorders.
- An openness to numerous health and wellness modalities.
- A desire to engage in professional and personal development opportunities.
- A willingness to achieve and maintain the Vermont recovery coaching certification, or have already achieved certification.
- Superb motivational interviewing skills, or the ability and willingness to learn motivational interviewing
- Knowledge, understanding, or the demonstrated ability to learn about recovery community needs around physical health, and the role that exercise, recreational and social opportunities can play in recovery and a person’s overall well-being
- The ability to develop and identify community resources
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Additional competencies with the Adobe Suite or other programs or technologies are a plus.
- The ability to work independently and proactively make decisions.
- The ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in program development.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and organizational skills.
- Strong boundaries and ethics.
- A strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with working with all levels of professionals and people of all backgrounds.
- A Valid Driver’s License; reliable transportation and current insurance coverage.

**Other desired qualifications**:

- Working knowledge of the safe and effective use of exercise equipment, including any equipment you would find in a commercial gym.
- The desire and ability to lead hikes, bicycle rides or other recreational activities.

Pay: From $45,800.00 per year
