Under the direction of the Training and Safety Manager, conducts and documents the training of employees. Identifies training and development needs and helps to select/ prepare training material. Monitors training effectiveness and evaluates feedback. Works to improve communications and understanding between all employees. Actively involved with 5s, safety, and continuous improvement programs.

**Essential Duties, Responsibilities, & Authority**
- Trains new employees in the quality and manufacturing requirements of their positions. Ensures that onboarding meets stated goals and objectives.
- Conducts follow-up interviews and training sessions with new employees and associates throughout the probationary period. Ensures that proper procedures are being followed. Collects feedback information, analyzes the collected data, and resolves the problems identified.
- Conducts ongoing training programs for all production employees to help them learn job skills for their job classification. This includes, but is not limited to, quality standards, job rotation, safety, proper part inspection, packaging procedures, job efficiency, use of labor collection system, etc. Proposes and administers agreed upon training programs to address identified needs.
- Documents all training to satisfy ISO and all other audit requirements.
- Prepares all training paperwork necessary to train properly for Job Tiers, Associate Onboarding, or other conducted training. Updates all training files or training boards located throughout the plant.
- Attends meetings and updates meeting minutes afterwards.
- Responsible to check, clean and restock all First Aid Kits and crash carts. Maintains all defibrillators to make sure they are in working order. (1st Shift Only)
- Assist HR Department with any communications or projects.
- Improves communication regarding problems / opportunities on the plant floor within and between shifts. Works with Cell Leads and Op 3 Blues to ensure they are properly training Operators and Associates.
- Follows Sussex IM’s environmental policies to protect and minimize our impact on the environment.
- Maintains a safe 5S working environment to minimize the possibility of an injury. Always acts in a safe manner and ensures that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk. Reports any unsafe conditions to a manager.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as needed and/or requested.

**Required Education, Credentials, & Certifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Job Specifications**
- Minimum of two years in an injection-molding or manufacturing environment preferred.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Uses good interpersonal communication techniques to work with subordinates and/or co-workers. Is courteous and helpful when interacting with fellow employees. Helps to create a positive work environment.
- Must be able to read and write English. Knowledge of Spanish, Burmese, Karen and/or Karenni a plus.
- Possesses basic math skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Good attendance (must be < 40 hours/12 months)
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, IQMS, UKG)
- Working knowledge of QA and manufacturing procedures
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Good time-management skill
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Multi-tasking ability
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills

Hours: Monday - Friday 11:00PM -7:30AM
