Job Description
Direct hire opportunity available on 1st shift for Machine Builders of industrial equipment. Machine Builders must have strong skills in the assembly of custom machines including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Open to training an apprentice level candidate. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities of the Machine Builder

  • Mechanical assembly of large industrial equipment according to blueprints and engineering department specifications
  • Work with the engineering department in testing and design improvements to meet unique customer requirements
  • Use hand tools to perform floor and bench top work
  • Perform light machining duties using a lathe, drill press, milling machine and surface grinder when necessary
  • Utilize basic, Windows-based computer tools including email
  • Participate in process improvement projects
  • Qualifications of the Machine Builder
Three to five years of relevant experience building, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints relating to mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturing and administrative teammates
  • Attention to detail, make decisions and troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to apply basic concepts of math and geometry
  • Valid driver's license and Fork Truck experience preferred
  • Experience using and rigging overhead cranes preferred
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously; keep cool under pressure
