**Essential Job Functions**:

- Greeting Guests:_ Extend a warm and sincere welcome to guests, using a positive and clear speaking voice. Listen attentively to guest requests, provide appropriate responses, and offer accurate information, such as outlet hours and local attractions.
- Guest Registration:_ Efficiently complete the guest registration process by entering and retrieving information from a computer system. Confirm essential details, including the number of guests and room rate. Select suitable rooms based on guest preferences. Code electronic keys, certificates, and coupons as necessary. This role involves constant standing and movement within the front office areas.
- Payment Processing:_ Verify and process credit cards for authorization using electronic methods. Handle cash transactions, make change, and maintain assigned house bank balances. Accept and record vouchers, travelers' checks, and various forms of payment. Perform precise, moderately complex arithmetic calculations using a calculator. Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts through computer systems.
- Telephone Communication:_ Answer incoming calls promptly and engage in positive and clear English communication. Input messages into the computer system, retrieve messages, and convey their contents to the guests. Assist with retrieving mail, small packages, and facsimiles upon guest requests.
- Guest Check-Out:_ Close guest accounts during check-out and ensure guest satisfaction. In the event of dissatisfaction, diligently research and attempt to resolve problems within established guidelines, which may involve escalating issues to a supervisor.
- Conflict Resolution:_ Handle guest complaints with care, conducting thorough research to devise effective solutions and resolve issues such as room changes or credit problems. Maintain composure and vigilance, especially during emergency situations and periods of high hotel activity. Plan and execute detailed steps using sound judgment and discretion. Maintain cleanliness in corridors and service areas at all times.
- Compliance and Safety:_ Adhere to all company policies and procedures, following safety and security guidelines and rules. Demonstrate knowledge of department fire prevention and emergency procedures and use appropriate protective equipment. Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or losses to a supervisor. Maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with specific standards outlined in the team member handbook. Assist other Front Desk Personnel as needed and perform any related duties as requested by a supervisor or manager.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:
The hotel may consider an equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below when applicable.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that imparts the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. A high school diploma is preferred.
- Proficiency in using a calculator and performing moderately complex mathematical calculations without errors.
- Ability to effectively engage with internal and external customers, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to de-escalate conflicts, gather accurate information, and resolve disputes.
- Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Hearing and visual acuity to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
