Teaching Artist

**Location**:Beverly Hills Area and remote (via Zoom)

**Starting Pay**:$18.00 - $22.00/hr (_based on experience_)

**Schedule**:Varies, but must include:

- Mondays, 4:30 pm-6:30 pm PT (Zoom)
- Tuesdays, 4:45 pm-6:00 pm PT (Beverly Hills)
- Wednesdays, 5:30 pm-7:30 pm PT (Beverly Hills)

**Job Summary**: The Miracle Project (TMP) is seeking to hire a key team member Teaching artists are responsible for facilitating TMP programs and providing direct service to neurodivergent youth, teens, and adults with and without disabilities.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with the creation and documentation of developmentally-appropriate curriculum that uses music, drama, and movement to enhance self-expression and social-emotional growth
- Leading dramatic and/or musical exercises at a pace appropriate to the needs of the program participants
- Attuning to participants’ goals and interests, maintaining age-appropriate interactions, and utilizing a strengths-based approach when working with program participants
- Monitoring participant social-emotional and artistic development
- Documenting participant attendance in class rosters and the MindBody portal
- Arriving on-site/logging into Zoom at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class time to ground and confirm lesson plan with other instructors
- Participating in a debrief session and remaining on-site/in the Zoom room for at least 15 minutes at the conclusion of each class to review participants’ response to activities and plan for future classes
- Relaying all information needed to be sent to families regarding class curriculum and concerns about participants to TMP administration
- Demonstrating knowledge and use of Elaine Hall's Seven Keys/Rehearsing for Life methodology in all activities related to The Miracle Project (training will be provided)

**Job Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of work in arts education and/or performance
- Ability to teach in-person in Beverly Hills on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and via Zoom on Monday evenings
- Comfort in leading a social skills group for neurodivergent young women
- Enthusiasm for interacting with individuals with and without disabilities and of all backgrounds

**Preferred**:

- Previous experience working with neurodivergent individuals
- Ability to teach at a summer camp in Beverly Hills July 8 through July 12, 2024 from 9:30 am-2:30 pm
- Ability to substitute teach additional classes virtually and in Beverly Hills Sunday through Thursday
